-17 degrees

Overnight temp was -22 and we woke and started shovelling out at -17 degrees...that's not the wind chill! All the neighborhood dogs came out to greet us and play. The snot in our nose froze...we spit and it froze. But the sun was out and the sky was blue. I already have a sun tan! The boys could watch football if we got some work done first. Let me tell you my motivation - there is always a "method behind my madness". Last year we had 3 snow days and that was challenging to everyone. The darlings have to go to school Monday! And Gallop does not know what to do with snow. Inches of snow is packed and frozen - not plowed or shoveled at all. Sooo, we are going to plow this place out today so school can have a better chance on Monday. Plus James doesn't really watch football and he loves all the toys he has access too. The teachers are still expecting a 2 hour delay b/c many kids might not be able to get off the reservation on time or at all. The snow will melt into clay/mud and cause other problems. So we got all the sidewalks clear and the sun did the rest. James is plowing the parking lots too. Hopefully there isn't more snow or wind. Quote for the day: "I think gramma's cousin Fran talks that way because she thinks she is from the south. long pause - boys yell...she IS from the south!"
