the weaver
Lee went with me to the fellowship hall to take his psychology exam, jared finished Bible. quick break to have coffee at 9. Lee "monitored" a group of HS kids over lunch...they needed to finish math and could ask him questions. No one asked him questions. he was fine with that! lunch was bean burritos and stuff...i stayed with the stuff and away from the beans. one single black bird sat on a wire and the wire touched another wire and we lost power and "systems" for the better half of the day. James and Jared were on the roof across from wire and poof the bird was blown and fell to the ground. power came back but computers were down. enjoyed the sun and warmth a bit and finished up some stuff with clare at assoc. office. we were invited to join the Grand Rapids Christian group and visit the weaver. she was a kind woman who lives with her sister. their house got water and electric in the past 5 years. she has 17 cats and 5 chihuahuas (taco bell dog). the house was sooo warm. she shears her own sheep, threads, weaves and designs all her own rugs. it was a great opportunity to see real Navajo culture and art. boys bball played at home...dinner at concessions.
