we got off in Trinidad, CO. no train station...just a new cement parking lot. our rental gal was there to pick us up and we drove to Alamosa. We had lunch with Unlce Ken, Aunt Bunny and Chelsea. The girls loved the goats and dogs...a lot. Stopped in town at WalMart to get worms and candy bars for dad to sell at his bait house. We got up to Santa Maria by dark. Everything in Colorado is green - unlike Kansas. Colorado has had rain! The Rio Grande is still low and quiet...rafting on Sunday might be dull?! But the boys are looking forward to it. Great to see gramma and papa...we forgot how cool/cold it is here after the sun goes down. It felt great. Fishing was a slow start. Each year we are fortunate to act and look like "real fisherman"...fast and decent catches. This morning James ans jared were out early and came back with nothing. They tried again and came back with one. It rained and hailed hard for an hour and now we have sun. Peaches is the resident dog ~ we love her too. More later....
