thursday

last night the girls went home with the huisinga family to spend the night - on a school night - but we are on vacation and everything is more relaxed here. thursday morning is "late start". teachers have their staff meetings at 8 and school starts at 9. no sleeping in...we went to breakfast with another volunteer couple from ontario, canada and a few big shots. the choir teacher and a number of his students were there for breakfast too. rehoboth choir is doing a midwest tour in late march. check them out at trinity or calvin college. i worked in the kitchen today. it wasn't the same without karen but it was good to meet new people and see every kid go through the line. one K student looked at me and said, "hey, you were the teacher and now you are serving jello." i said, "that's pretty cool." i have a favorite spot against a wall of concrete that warms up so nice and i hide there and get some sunshine. it is great today. james and the boys went to deanna's gramma's house and are fixing shingles. she has a large navajo family and they are making us a traditional navajo dinner tonight at the church. yeah!
